Of course we started with our window decor of airplanes. We learned "airplane" & "airport" in sign. Our special guest today was Dallas Dunn, a pilot! He talked about loving watching planes when he was growing up, so told his dad that’s what he wanted to do. So Dallas went to K-State Salina & took lots of tests so he could fly different types of planes. 4 years of school & lots of hours, he now flies all over, getting important people to their destination. Dallas read "Violet the Pilot" by Steve Breen to us. That girl sure is smart! We then built our own planes to take outside to see if they could fly! We did up our window decor and Learned "celebrate" in sign language. We read "Cinco de Mayo" by Rachel Grack. We found out Cinco de Mayo in Mexico is like our July 4th. Our craft project, we made dancing paper roll cactus! We took our group picture. Then we headed outside to break the pinata! Some good hits-some not so good but it finally exploded with lots of candy. We headed back inside for - yes, more sugar! Cookies! And a bag of toys. Then headed home before the storms started.
